CEITEC Masaryk University Brno – University Hospital
Masaryk university Brno (MU) is a public, non-profit educational and research organisation, founded in 1919 as the second Czech university. The Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC) was established in 2009 as an independent institute of Masaryk University. It was created within the framework of the CEITEC project by leading Brno universities and two research institutes – likewise based in Brno – who joined forces in order to establish a supraregional centre of scientific excellence. Neuroscience is one of the main areas of research, together with other fields of life and material sciences. The clinical part of neuroscience research is performed in the University Hospital Brno, an academic part of MU.
